© 2021, Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. In the present work we describe a novel system for the identification of microRNAs (miRNAs) in fluids. The method is based on combined novel 3D microarray technology using silk as scaffold and total internal reflection fluorescence microscopy (TIRFM), which allows for the rapid identification of miRNAs using a portable device.
